Ep.8 Paul Karger

Paul Karger knows a shit load about market economics. He co-founded TwinFocus in 2006 and leads the firm’s direct investing efforts in private equity, venture capital and real estate.

Prior to founding TwinFocus, Paul founded The Karger Group within UBS Financial Services where he led a team that advised select institutions and high-net-worth individuals. Paul holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst and is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society, CFA Institute, and the Investment Management Consultants Association. He earned his CIMA at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance and holds a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University. Paul was the recipient of the Outstanding Alumni Award in 2012 from Boston University.

We discuss the current GME bubble, the perception of the little guy vs. huge institutional investors, how the game may or may not be rigged, and why stealing and pawning car stereos isn’t much different than shorting a stock.
